*I didn't even know that this was coming out until the day of it's release and I'm a gamer, so you tell me if it's dead.*

You're dead.

What exactly does this mean?

UDraw sold out at some locations: http://www.gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=143173

In America (Nov 14th), one new Wii exclusive item was launched last Sunday by THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI), and it is selling well. So well, in fact, that Udraw is presently sold out at Toys R Us and Wal-Mart.

THQ expecting big things from UDraw:  http://www.gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=143140

- since the uDraw launch, share prices were up 21 percent
- "confident that THQ will sell its planned production of 1 million tablets over the balance of the fiscal year." - Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter
- THQ increased production targets to 1.3 million, up from 1 million

As for the lack of ads, it was advertised twice during the iCarly hour-long episode "i Start a Fan War" on Friday, Nov. 19 on Nickelodeon in the US. And before anyone says anything, that was the fourth overall and highest non-sports basic cable program in the US last week with over 5 million viewers (it was also 6th and 16th highest in its Saturday and Sunday re-airs ... but I don't know if the commercial was also shown then).

The pictionary and dood games that aren't bundled with it are sold out at the local Walmart. So its probably doing well. I don't see 1.3m being a problem by March 2011 for THQ. I'm mainly interested in it for pictionary and the drawing potential, pretty obvious fit for Wii really. Monopoly, and other board games adapted for Wii have done well, and this is pretty better functionality than the board game as you dont have to buy paper and pens now, but you can still play alot of pictionary. THQ is said to have a whole lineup of games coming for Udraw, and so interest in the peripheral should continue for a fair amount of time.

Wouldn't THQ be missing the holiday push if they don't ram up the production ASAP?
