graphically, it isn't anything the Wii can't do

Nothing been heard on this for a while, I wonder if it's still in development at all?

As I stated above, I spoke to HVS at E3 and it is very much still in development. They were showing it behind closed doors and just as that video notes, it has a fall 2011 (they're hoping for Halloween itself) release date.
We hear very little on it right now as they are focusing media efforts on Conduit 2.
The rEVOLution is not being televised
On the resolution being too high ...
Early screenshots and videos of the original Red Steel were in 720p which drove speculation that the Wii would support HD output; but it turned out that there are PC development kits for the Wii that can output at much higher resolution than the Wii can produce.

I remember that. Made Red Steel look a lot better then it actually did.

Good stuff, I e-mailed HVS a while back saying how much I was looking forward to the game and that I didn't want it to be a top down shooter. I think it could do well on Wii and easily pass the 500k mark if it is done well and looks as good as it did in its initial trailers.
There are no certainties in life. And there is nothing here that is unreasonable for the Wii. But nothing to indicate that it actually is from the Wii (or would be on a final Wii version). To me, it appears to be a bunch of jumbled scenes with very quick cut aways after a second or less. This does not, at this time, make me want to buy the game.

At 0:35 looks pretty un-wii-like. But like the rest of the video, it passes to quick to really tell.
I seem to recall that at the time this trailer was released, an HVS rep said that some of the footage was Wii, and some was from an HD platform.
