It will be close to 2 mil. Probably more like 1.5 mil come January. Thats about 175,000 a week. You figure about 100,000 360s sold last week and thats without the Black Friday and Christmas boost coming up. I'm sure the majority of 360s are the 250GB.

I'm not doubting the sales of 360 but the sku that will sell

 

how the hell can you be sure that 250gb will be the majority

 

the cheaper 360 has always sold more and cheaper sku's always sell more,there is a huge $100 difference so don't say that people will look for the content included

The Gran Turismo series is arguably the most hardcore racing simulator out there for hardcore gamers and hardcore racing fans.  The less this franchise is supported the greater the sign that racing game buyers are buying more casual racing games.

The Gran Turismo series is arguably the most hardcore racing simulator out there for hardcore gamers and hardcore racing fans.  The less this franchise is supported the greater the sign that racing game buyers are buying more casual racing games.


Now Forza is casual?  Forza is a zillion miles from casual.  And I think some PC gamers would disagree with you about GT too.

I cant remember the name of the driving game speciality website that analysed Forza 3 but I'm sure someone here will point you in the right direction.

I never said Forza was casual.  I said Gran Tursimo was "arguably the most hardcore."

In what way? GT5 isn't out yet so nobody can do a comparison but besides the more cars and tracks in GT5 what makes it more hardcore? If there is a racing game more in depth than Forza with the tuning, car customizing, etc then I don't want to play it.

Well it'll reach a million sales on its own in due time.

On top of that, perhaps a couple million people will get Alan Wake as a digital download. And they can't be resold on the market as dirt cheap used copies.
