Mass Effect deserve 2m by now !!
I really sad .. Its really a great game

WOOT!!! I knew it was selling well based on my local stores and seeing it climbing up the amazon top 100 list. GO MASS EFFECT GO!

BY THE WAY THEY MEANT WORLDWIDE.

Bell did not specify whether the one million figure is a global data point or for the U.S. only (Update: it's a worldwide sales total). Nevertheless, one million sold in under three weeks is a fantastic start and yet another reason for Microsoft to do everything in their power to keep the franchise exclusive to Xbox 360.

Why would you guys be happy if it sold 1 mil already? That means VGC is off, which for us means, WE SHOULDN'T BE HAPPY.

So, stop cheering please.

More evidence that Mass Effect is indeed selling very well, Major Nelson just released X-box Live activity for last week.  Mass Effect being 6 on the list is impressive for an RPG:

Is impressive considering the games ahead of it have sold more so far.  If it passes any of those games you could say it may have sold more.  Also you don't need to go online to enjoy Mass Effect so who knows if that list is undertracking it.  Overral I am just happy this game is getting the sales it deserves.  I am baised since this is becoming my favorite game of all time. 

MS doesn't lie and twist their numbers like Sony does.

i think thats shipped so i think VGchartz is undertracking it a little but that also counts for last week and last weeks numbers arent still here so i say VGchartz is doing a great job

Ha! This is just a lesson to some of the blind Wii fanboys on this site to stop being so quick to call titles a flop...ha!

We're cheering because the game deserves good numbers. I would hate to see an effort such as Mass Effect (as flawed as it may be) go unrewarded by consumers. It's a great game.

To give VGC credit though...

The report says "after almost three weeks" it's sold 1m. VGC has reported only 10 days. Most likely, MS is counting this most recent week in sales patterns.

So for all we know, Mass Effect could of sold another 150k in the US this week (Christmas increases), add in Europes 35k this week, and add in any other "other" totals......

And we'd have a number much closer to 700k, or more. Much, much closer to MS's numbers.
