Cod, Madden, FIFA? It works for some, thats not why Rockband 3"fails" imo. Its because; why buy a new game when you can just buy 50 new songs for the game you already have?

I've always been surprised how these super-linear games sell so big like Guitar Hero and Dancing. All you do if follow what you see on screen. To me they get old very fast.
