#35. Halo: Reach (X360)

A surprise to me. I'm definitely not a Halo fan, and Reach didn't make one out of me, but it was better than I expected.

44. The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - Xbox

I feel this game as another part of my childhood. I absolutely love LOTR and you get play in all of the epic battles of the second and third movie co-op. Tons of fun and replayability. Definitely recommend for a good time with fans of the series.

*Hi-5's OutlawAuron*

This game is the best movie game ever! So much fun, especially in Co-op. I would spend hours just leveling up my characters... having a level 20 character was the epitome of awesomeness.

Yeah... awesome game.

Woo!

I'm glad someone else loved it as much as I did.

37) Gran Turismo (PS1)

My first ever Racing Game... It was quite the revolution for me as I'd never had much interest in cars back when GT came out nor did I think of getting a Racing Game but it was my Dad who got it and played it. I watched him play and saw how awesome it was and ever since I got so hooked into the racing aspect of games and that allowed me to explore games like Mario Kart 64 as well. It's all thanks to GT that I got into cars and racing games in the first place.

36) Starcraft Brood War (PC)

What?!! I'm Korean and Starcraft is this low?!!! Yes I'm Korean but Starcraft isn't my favourite game of all time, unlike a lot of Koreans. When I visit S Korea during the holidays years ago, the only thing I would play is Starcraft or Gameboy because that's what EVERYONE was playing. Of course at first I could never win a match because SC is after all a RTS which requires a lot of planning and quick movements and decision making. But with the assistance and tips from my friends, I began to really get the hang of Starcraft and pretty much got addicted to it and would not stop using Protoss. Yes Protoss forever!!!

35) Red Dead Redemption (PS3)

I've never played a Rockstart Game up until this year. I never liked GTA at all. I didn't know much about Rockstar. I don't like Western setting Games. I didn't even know that a game called Red Dead Redemption existed until a month before it's release date. If it hadn't been for my brother who continuosly begged me to buy him RDR in May and the rave reviews of RDR during May, I would've passed up on this exceptional game forever. Even though I don't like the Western Setting, that didn't change the fact that RDR is an amazing game.

The gameplay is great with cool addtions of Dead Eye, Morality Meter. The Open World of RDR blew me away as it is the most immersive Open Wolrd game. There was just so much to do in Read Dead. Hunting Animals, Breaking Horses, Shooting and tieing up bandits and outlaws, Clearing Gang Hideouts, etc and that's only to name a few of the many great gameplay aspects of RDR. It doesn't stop there. The Beautiful Night Sky, Sizzling Sunset afternoon, Quiet Dawn and the outstanding landscapes of RDR are astounding. The graphics are spectacular which makes the environment look even more stunning.

The Characters are great, especially John Marston himself, and are accompanied by top notch Voice Acting. In fact it's the second best Voice Acting job I've ever heard for a video game. It makes the characters and story so believable and compelling.

The only aspect that I felt was disappointing about RDR was that the Multiplayer didn't have a Match Making system. If it did have a match making system, it would've been one of the best games ever for me and higher up in my Top 50. But that aside, I have nothing but high praise and respect for Red Dead Redemption and Rockstar and I eagerly await what they do with Agent and future Rockstar Games other than GTA.

35. Championship Manager 97/98

I'm expecting some confused Americans with this one, but as I put countless hours into this game when I was younger, it deserves a place in my list. For those confused Americans, this game was about picking a team, and managing them to hopeful success. You didn't play the actual games, you watched it unfold via text commentary. It doesn't sound like much, but it had an addictive effect on me.

This was the game before Championship Manager 3, which I consider to be the start of a decline in the series, a decline that ultimately led me to giving the series up completely. This was the last game before it started to get too in depth. I didn't want to manage reserve teams, or youth squads, or worry about training schedules. I just wanted it simple, pick a team, send them out, and buy/sell players, and that's what this game was all about. With that simple system I was drawn in and could easily spend an entire day playing this. My team of choice was PSV Eindhoven, I won the Dutch league every season, and the Champions League about 12 times.

35. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP)

Movie tie-ins are rarely good, so I was naturally skeptical when I heard they were making a Metal Gear Solid video game. That it was going to be on the PSP rather than a home console didn't help matters, but Peace Walker's burning desire to achieve greatness was such that neither hardware limitations nor Hideo Kojima himself could stop it from becoming one of the best of the year and, indeed, ever. There is just so much content: Epic boss battles. Multiplayer, both cooperative and competitive. Base building. Recruiting soldiers. Capturing vehicles. Building your own fucking Metal Gear! Tons and tons of side missions, the best of which will have you holding up your enemies with a banana. And, of course, a totally impenetrable story in the classic Kojima fashion. To somehow bring order to all this chaos, Kojima Productions shamelessly cribbed Monster Hunter's game flow system, and it works really well. Capcom themselves were so impressed with the execution that they donated some monsters for Snake to fight, and thanks to a well designed control scheme that makes playing on the cramped PSP much less strenuous than usual, it's actually fun to do so. People often call Peace Walker a great handheld game, but it isn't. It's a great game. Period.

From these screen shots, that youtube video I saw from MGS2 of that dude running around naked, and the fact that the main character's named Solid Snake,  I take it that the MGS games are some sort of gay porno games, right?
