I'm just wondering if capcom is going to come out with a dead rising 3. I just beat dead rising 2 the other day and I love the game. I hardly replay games,but I plan on playing through it again. So will there be a dead rising 3. What could they do differently?

Of course there will. More zombies and zombie types more weapons. That's what i see for dead rising.

Well, what was the ending of Dead Rising 2? If it was a cliffhanger, there will be a 3rd game.

Pretty sure we'll not only see DR3, but we'll also see a 3DS iteration.

 They bought the (Canadian i think) studio who made DR2, so i think that pretty much confirms they've got them signed up for all the Dead Rising they can get money from.

 I expect we'll see a DR3 in a few years time, but after that they'll probably try and mix it up as it's not really a series that I think can keep being milked past a trilogy.

 Sales for DR2 are very strong too so no problem there. I think the harder question is will they do a Lost Planet 3.

Fuck you're not gonna be pleased until you see every major franchise at least have one game on the 3DS are you? lolz :D

But then again seeing how Capcom loves the 3DS and all, Dead Rising could actually be a great 3DS title with blood and bits of limbs popping out as the 3D effects.

OP: Yes of course there'll be a Dead Rising 3. Capcom (more specifically Inafune) said that they want Dead Rising to become their new Resident Evil.

Keiji Inafune creator of Dead Rising was pretty bold after PAX. He said that Capcom wants Dead Rising to replace Resident Evil as Capcom's biggest franchise. Capcom wants Dead Rising to become big and as such a Dead Rising 3 is inevitable. You have nothing to worry about infact I could easily see Dead Rising 5 to 7. I also bet Capcom will create side games based on Dead Rising. A movie deal is probubly already in the works seeing as Dawn Of The Dead's creators already claimed Capcom infringed on their story.

The franchise is going to get alot of Capcom support in the future. Will it actually eclipse Resident Evil I personally hope not. But its clear Capcom does not share this view. Expect alot of Dead Rising content released over the next few years!
