What nonsense....stop generalizing
PSP may not be your cup of tea, but millions of people love it, it's a success, lesser than the DS for sure but it's a success for Sony for sure. I love the games it provide and it's those games that differentiate the DS from the PSP this gen.
VC2, GOW, MGS, BBS, Crisis Core etc. are all great games....simpler games? Not really...but are they great and does fans love them? Without a doubt. Heck even Tekken on the psp is an AMAZING game on the GO....it has a nice learning curve as well
Honestly, why do you even come into these threads? All you do is bash the psp...heck we don't know what's next and your bashing the 'speculations'..give it a rest
oh and btw, YOU're also in this site...posting....lol why should non posters care about your opinion also then? Double standards pal

I am not saying ps3 doesnt have great games...but all of the games you listed are pretty much scaled down home console games. Is God of War PSP better than God of War 3? Is VC2 better than VC on PS3?I don't think so...and I own both consoles
Sony will always have that core market that will want as close to home exerience as possible, but that market has very limited expandability at this point. If sony makes a PSP version beefcake5000, all they are doing is driving up production cost, and price while providing nothing to expand on the already existing PSP marketshare.
Here are the things I think sony needs to do with PSP2 if they want it to be a success
1. partner up with Ericsson to make a device which is 3G and can download games/apps/browse on the go and other cool stuff. Doesn't have to be a phone, but it needs to have some phone like features. Its a massive source of revenue...
2. touch screen, its a must at this point. Even freekin no name handhelds like GP2X Wiz and Pandora are providing touch screens
3. have great hardware specs but not try to outmuscle anyone by going crazy powerful. PSP 1 had great specs and sold mostly due to that as nothing out at the time was comparable and could play movies as good or was as versitile (once jailbroken). Now every device can play HD movies and has 3D graphx and emulators for almost anything.
4. price it for 249 or less
All I am saying is that according to that BS Kotaku article, all that sony is focusing on with PSP2 is "must be as powerful as xbox"...which is a retarded strategy for a mobile device in 2010.
