And Kinect is sold out everywhere. It's pretty amazing isn't it? The peripheral hasn't even come out yet and it's sold out. Wonder if that says anything...

It means MS is spending 500mil on a marketing campaign while sony is getting a simillar good result for fraction of the cost.

They aren't getting a good result. Just because they are shipping well now, doesn't mean it will continue. Sales have continously gone down every week for the Move, despite the Christmas frenzy that has already begun. I can gaurentee you that MS understood that 500 mill was spent so that people are actually going to buy the 360 system, which is $300 bucks. 300 x 2,000,000 (MS's lowest aproximation)= 600,000,000 dollars in the first quarter. put that up to the highest estimation: 300 x 4,000,000 = 1,200,000,000, in the first quarter. Not very many people are actually going to buy the 150 kinect, cause it's too expensive. Everyone here has stated that. MS has done this so that their cream of the crop is going to be the casual gamer this fall. And just like how pachter predicted this coming spring, the 360 will see a price drop, along with a Kinect price drop. Both of these price drops will sky rocket sales.
People enjoy the Kinect (including myself) enough to just play with this interface. Watching a movie is actually fun. It's amazing. LIterally. There is nothing in this room except you, your t.v, and your xbox 360 kinect bundle. And your watching t.v. No remotes, no controllers, just awesomeness.
The interface alone drives people crazy (MS has actually done studies on just the interface alone, and they have yielded these results).
V: And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you, and in your panic you turned to the now high chancellor, Adam Sutler. He promised you order, he promised you peace, and all he demanded in return was your silent, obedient consent. Last night I sought to end that silence.
