That is not the context they use that term.

@milkyjoe  oh i wasnt trying to say that its all cause its a Ninty system that its like that. It being the market leader does contribute, but lets keep it real, most devs have a pretty solid view on the Wii at this point. When for every Goldeneye we see we get about ten different kinds of Barbie or Nicktoons games, theirs something wrong. I've never seen a lead console with that ratio before. Is it a crying shame??? Hell yah, but whatcha gonna do????

To reinforce my point about the difference is developers are making these comments -- see the latest blather by David Cage: 

“When you have a game console like the Playstation 3 that has a hard drive, a blu-ray reader, that connects to the internet, and does a billion other things, and that has a “hard” in terms of games that really is extraordinary, well, I think at some point people make the difference between something that is like a toy, a funny boardgame like the Wii, and a real… well a real multimedia center with an extremely strong videogame experience” - David Cage

I don't know anyone who regularly plays PS3 or XBox 360 in real life. Honestly. And everyone I know who has a Wii keeps playing it. Really. I am not joking or bending the facts. So, are HD consoles a myth?

But I don't. Our friends range from the early twenties to the fourties, and some of those in their fourties have teen kids, some of them with HD consoles . All I meant to say in this reall ife example is that all consoles "gather dust" (in the noty being used sense), and you can't say one does more than the others based on your immediate surroundings..

Don't really care about what R@D thinks of the Wii.  Why should I care what a second tier developer(whose greatest accomplishment is developing  games for a failed portable system) thinks of Nintendo's most succesful console since the SNES.
