Yeah, I'm sure PS3s are flying off the shelf in Brazil where they are selling for over $1000.

Retailers are buying PS3s for fun just to make sure their shipment numbers are bigger.

 

We all know Sony stuffs the channel and lies on their financial reports.

I'd say its a combination of vgchartz doing some undertracking and Jack Trenton doing some rounding. The discrepancy can't be that big between the numbers.

Release price... now they are selling between $550 and $1300 (depends on model or bundle)... eg. Playstation 3 Slim PS3 HD 250GB = R$ 1.499,00 ($890).

Two friends mine bought a PS3 this quarter and are selling their 360.

I dont think he said that actually. Cant speak for Leo, cant say i agree with him either but thats certainly not what i gathered from his bold prediction on a quarterly shipment result.
