ya know... I think you know for a fact you did share it. You just want to say it so we all dont jump on you for being dumb for sharing your info with strangers.

Haha, I don't even have friends (playstation generation), and I don't talk to strangers. They found it out, but I don't know how. Whatever, I'll be careful.

there are such things as keyloggers which record password inputs. It's possible that if you've used it online, your computer could be infected, or otherwise, you use your password on more than one site.

I have a different password for every single thing I use. Complicated, but it works.

Really?  That is weird because when you setup a PSN account on another PS3 and if you have your CC info on it it will ask you for the security code off the back of your CC otherwise it will not let you sign in to that account - or you have to delete the CC info from the account.  At least that is the way it is with accounts from Canada.. and you are from Canada.. so - very weird

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

That's exactly why I use Nikkom's credit card for all my accounts. Just makes me feel safer

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

The only problem i hate with buying/using PSN prepaid cards are the leftover money and the taxes.  Like if you buy a $19.99 game, you cant buy a $20 PSN card, you gotta buy a $20 and another $20, or just a whole $50 prepaid card.

If buying via prepaid card were tax-free then i'm all for it.

heh, sucks to be american

In europe prices have to include taxes, so a €20 PSN card can buy you €20 PSN games.

Are the downloaded items in the download list still there?

The same thing just happened to me. $150 charged on the account, e-mail changed, etc. Basically the exact same thing. Never shared my account, never replied to those phishing e-mails, etc. I found this post by googling to see if I was the only one who got his account stolen and I found about 6 mentions of accounts mysteriously being charged $150 between Oct. 20 and today. Good to know calling Customer's Service works though.

1. You must have let out some info to let others get your pw.

2. This is why I don't attach payment methods to any site.

I had a (ex) mate who had the same thing happen to him on Xbox Live, but that was for over £1000 and he had done 1)  in the quote, having loaned his account to some randomer in an attempt to get a higher rank on Halo 3. He did bring it on himself. The guy had wiped his friends list but we tracked it down, even though the account named had been changed and he got it all back. Still was a pretty stupid and vain thing to do in the first place.
