I had a (ex) mate who had the same thing happen to him on Xbox Live, but that was for over £1000 and he had done 1) in the quote, having loaned his account to some randomer in an attempt to get a higher rank on Halo 3. He did bring it on himself. The guy had wiped his friends list but we tracked it down, even though the account named had been changed and he got it all back. Still was a pretty stupid and vain thing to do in the first place.
