I just experienced having my PSN acct hacked. My password and personal info were changed so that I couldn't access it, and [they] bought themselves $150 in games right on my credit card. This happened around 3am this morning, and I saw the transaction pop up in my inbox, so I called Sony asap and they restored access to my account and refunded my cc. This was done in under thirty minutes. I must say that I'm impressed at the service that I received, since it was relatively painless.

I just don't understand how the baddies managed to find my password, which is fairly complicated, since it uses letters and numbers without any coherence or meaning.

I learned my lesson, and will always use prepaid psn cards from now on. I recommend that you (everyone) do the same.

I'm glad you got your money back. Unless they bought Flower, in which case you're a horrible person for ratting them out (and for not already owning the game).

gamesharing is letting somebody borrow your account to DL bought games from it. Have you done that before? Have you ever shared any account info with anybody?

No, but at first I thought that I had been robbed because I have a couple of PS3s in two different places, but that turned out not to be the case. I must've been silly and shared it, even if I don't remember doing so.

Scary experience nevertheless. I have several hundreds of dollars worth just on psn.

ya know... I think you know for a fact you did share it. You just want to say it so we all dont jump on you for being dumb for sharing your info with strangers.
