I mean, it's kind of hard to havea competition when there is technically only one competitor as of now. I think we should at least let Sony tell us something before the fan wars start lmao.

I'm not buying one in 2011. I don't think there will be enough good games before 2012 for 3ds and 2013 for psp2.

I know its too early to tell based on sofware since none has been announced for the PSP2 yet. But this is mostly from a hardware standpoint which do you prefer thats why I don't even mention sofware. Also for the record 3DS's launch software is highly disappointing in my book because 95% of it is old remakes and old IP's. Though they will be great games Nintendo really needs to create something new. Seeing the 3 millionth Mario game and so on is starting to get old. They are capable of creating amazing characters and for some reason or another haven't tried to in a long time. |
It's always the software selections that matter the most. Professor Layton x Phoenix Wright is ZOMG enough personally. I highly doubt PSP2 would come with a whole bunch of new IP's either since it's much tougher to sell new names.

3DS, all the way. The launch titles lined up are more than enough for me to buy one.
Bah!

I love my PSP for emulators but retail games are not very good when youre on the bus, on a plane or on the go IMO. It needs to be quick arcade style action...not a game that has 10 minute loading menu and cut scenes before you start any gameplay. Contra is a good portable game while Silent Hill for example, not so much PSP has a lot more of those immersive cinematic story driven style games than the arcade style games that you can play for 15 minutes and have a blast. Sony doesn't seem to get that fully yet...and keeps pumping downgraded home console types of games...hence my "poor mans home console" comment. |
Ah, gotcha now. Have to say I kinda agree.

The big new features are dual analogs and an HD screen? Sounds like a home console to me. And not a fancy new one for 2011. |
Yeah, I misunderstood what he said at first.
Guess it depends on how heavy and big it is.

I also trust Sony more at making games that i am going to like then i do nintendo. after seeing whats happened to the DS and Wii i couldnt take the risk. With all that been said i can see myself getting the PSP2 over the 3DS but we dont know what games are comming for them yet so |
You realize that you can use the touch screen like an analog stick right? RIGHT? HD screen also make very little difference on smaller screens unless you are going to hook it up to your HDTV with a portable system, meh. Tegra would rape the Pica for sure though, but I really want that 3D screen lol.

i've already dismissed the 3DS as a no-buy.
if the psp2 acts as a smartphone then it has a non-zero chance of being purchased but the chance is still pretty low.
