Forums - Sony - Killzone 2 Screenshots "are only the tiniest touched up"

Would it surprise you to know that every screen grab is touched up by every company that puts screens on the net and print?

I can clearly see you are a 360 fanboy. For you to not believe that MS never doctored a shot for their games is of fool's intelligence.
The problem here is that Killzone 2 got caught with fake graphics before. Getting caught again is just bad pressX2

Assassins Creed has never been hyped about it graphics, it promised gameplay and delivered (well most agree it delivered), on the other hand Killzone 2's hype as all been about its graphics.

The gameplay in Killzone 2 looks awesome to me, the demonstrations so far look very promising, also great volumetric blood and amazing animation.

It seems its a common practice for Sony games... Wasn't there a similar fiasco for Motorstorm?

Motorstorm was a little rushed (to shut up the naysayers as early quick and dirty 360 ports weren't that good), but I love Motorstorm 3.0! The game with all the bells and whistles on (good DLC available), IMO Motorstorm is an amazing game and its graphics are very good as well. I love its super fast bike and ATV races, really lovely seeing 15 vehicles crossing and hopping like mad. 8-)

I haven't experienced a similar racing game since Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga with 2 player mulitplayer nulmodem link. In that game you used the boost as much as possible as well, made great leaps of faith, hopping over your opponent. Of course SCR is from the 80s and Motorstorm looks so much better and offers up to 12 player lag free online multiplay.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

I love Motorstorm, all the DLC has had me coming back to it all this time after launch, I love the rumble and it is just a really fun game to play

Every screen shot you see has been doctored to some extent so this really isn't that big of news.

You have clearly described the original poster to a "T".

The important question is whether the screenshots were doctored inorder to mislead potential customers ... "Target Renders" are common but (typically) developers make it clear to the press that these are only "Target Renders" or that they are "In Engine, but not in-game" because they want to make it clear that they are not attempting to mislead anyone.

Their is no reason that this shot could not be from the current build of the game. We akl have seen how far Uncharted came along graphicaly just from July to November, so I am sure Killzone will really go through some transofromations before it is finally released. The haterd getting spread around about Sony this gen is past the point of ridculous. Killzone 1 was a fine game that would be was plagued by graphical effects like pop in and slow down. It featured great gameplay, and a deep story, and in my book that is the most important thing in gaming.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

I think if that would be the case they wouldn't have commented on this, I think it's for wallpaper purposes.

Certain people simply just WANT Sony to crash and burn, where does this hate stem from? They've given us four great consoles and thousands of games, we should be respectful and greatful!

Mostly from Nintendo fanboys who are pissed about the last couple of generations. By the way most screenshots are touched up and we already saw gameplay footage and the difference between that and the screenshots is negligible.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
