Well I've argued this in other forums so I'll just post my views again here.
I am against this law because it is obvious game companies will have to censor their games. The law does not strengthen existing ratings, it allows individual states to set their own guidelines for age restricted sales and fractures the current system. Basically if it goes through each state will have its own rating system. Its the opposite of what Europe is trying to do now, which is simplifying the system under one rating system PEGI.
For example in New York a game may get a PG-13 but in Cali it would effectively be an 18 because it could have an image of a person that the player can kill. The manufacturer is not going to create a version just for Cali, they are just going to cut the content out of the game or change the images etc. Now if 10 or 20 states each have their own different standard it becomes a nightmare.
