Forums - Gaming Discussion - My Two Cents about New Vegas ...

First thing's first:

- Played Version: PS3

- Playtime: 23 Hours

- Finished (a certain Campaign): Yes, and 'a bit' more.

- Version Played: 1.01

Okay, i was very sceptical about the New Fallout, and i knew from the Start, it'll be just a Timekiller, since Two Worlds 2 is delayed to 3rd November.

But still, you want quality for your money, no?

Okay were do i start...  lets start with Flying Cows, huh?

No Joke, a Brahmin just spawned in the Sky and was like.. 'Moooh' .. then i was like.. 'huh, where did that come from?*looks into the air* ... then he was like... MOOH! ... and i was like '...Wtf?' ... and then he was like.. 'MoooOoOoOOooHHH!111' *Splash!* ... and i was like... 'HAHAH ROFLROFLROFL EPICZ! LOLOLOL'

But with exception of this amusing Cow, there were some heavy issues... sometimes, the Framerate is going below 5, and will stay there until u reload (happened 2 times in 23~  Hours), and then there were some crashes... 5 to be exact, and on top of this, there are many logic-mistakes.. or stupid set Invisible Walls..

Bugs n' Glitches really have a bad influence to the experience...

BUT other than that, you have Fallout 3, + Casino's, + Card Games, + Lots of Faction's, + some great Atmosphere, + Lots of variety in the Dungeons and Towns , and a bit more.

I think new Vegas could have been great, but with all its flaws, it is 'just' a nice game with too many flaws, but still, i didnt regret the Buy by now, because, after all, it is fun.

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

This is the main reason,I'm going to buy this game later,to see if they patch some of this stuff.

@Crystalchild

cool thanks for the heads up

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

It bugs me (no pun intended) that gamers these theys are willing to embrace with open arms really short games or clearly unfinished games and pay the full price but then dink really good games for less.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Really short games= Vanquish getting praised regardless of length, something like flOwer I remember getting docked points for being short.

till today, I still feel sour to Gametrailers (or was it someone else?)  for docking points for Wipeout HD because it recycled tracks and ships from older games but overlooked the fact that the game was a brilliantly put together piece of awesomeness, with only one real bug to speak of. Yet NV is getting everyone jizzing left right and centre when clearly the game is incomplete.

Yes I'm aware it's a huge game trying new things but that's not a real excuse in my opinion as it seems quite a few of the bugs that originally happened in F3 is happening in NV as well. I remember people talking about enemies spawning in mid-air and falling to their death, happened to me a couple of times and by the sounds of things, this hasn't been fixed. If it had been a lesser known company, I doubt that they would get away it.

Flower got praised so did limbo and that game was really short. What planet are you on? And NV is 81 on metacritic for ps3 lol. It's getting slammed pretty hard

its been confirmed today that GT5 has a weather system, track editor and go karts! seriously i think this is going to be the best selling in the series even beating GT3 sales of 14 million plus!

Well it's made by obsidian, which consists of many people from black isle... they've always released incredibly buggy games with very intriguing dialogue and characers imo. see planescape torment, Kotor II.

I'm waiting until it's (Hopefully) patched up. And hopefully I'll have a good experience...

I'm playing it on computer though.

btw did anyone watch this hilarious glitch?

i'm still on the fence about this game, i'm not really wanting to play yet another Fallout 3 "Expansion", this game looks a lot like Fallout 3 i'm not talking about graphics , i mean EVERYTHING.

offtopic: , i also found this Medal Of Honor glitch screenshot that i don't know if its real or not but its hilarious
