What is your most favorite anime of all time?

Mine has to be Full Metal Alchemist! (The reason i did not say fma brotherhood is because i didnt finish the series yet.)

What is the best anime of all time for you??

You know what screws me up about FMA brotherhood....

they like... changed very little style or voice wise... at least in the US version.

Saw an episode like 5 minutes in, and it took me a while saying stuff like "Hey I don't remember this happening like this".  To realize it was brotherhood.

It's quite good though.

Ever since I first watched I decided to name Code Geass the best.

I haven't changed my mind yet.

*high-fives metalgear!*

Yeah, Brotherhood is basically a retelling of the first show. I thought it was going to be completely different at first, but I liked Brotherhood's version of the story better. It was a bit more epic.

As for favorites... I don't really have any favorites...

Just categories (With examples of Anime most people should know.)

A) Shows I liked a lot

Ghost in the Shell, Full Metal Panic, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gunslinger girl, Deathnote

B) Shows I liked because it had good action

Zoids, Voltron (as a kid), Death Frenzy

C) Shows I liked because it had a cool concept even though it failed to come through with it for me.

Eureka 7, Blood, Bobobo (just the fact that they'd attempt to dub that for american audiences made it hilarious.)

D) Shows I didn't like because the main characters suck, but if they did a spinoff show i'd be first in line.

Naruto, Bleach

E) Shows I didn't like... often because they just didn't get to the point.

Zatchbell, Inuyasha

F) Shows I hated because they were both boring and seemed the opposite of intellegent despite people thinking they are deep, even when the main author pretty much admits there isn't much of a deeper meaning and he was just making stuff up.

FLCL, Neon Evangeligon.

I'm disappointed in VGChartz.  Cowboy Bebop has only been mentioned 5 or 6 times in the first 50 posts.

It's a masterpiece from every angle.  Masterful characterization, awesome universe for a setting, the perfect soundtrack for the content.  It got every emotion out of you.  It was funny as hell, but got your blood pumping with beautiful fight scenes, but could cause you to tear up, and all within the same episode.  The set up of a bunch of vignette-styled episodes with a slowly progressing overarching plot worked perfectly.  The final few episodes, full of foreshadowing and powerful emotions, serve as a perfect climax for the series, and the ending provides the all the catharsis you could ever need.

It really is underappreciated depsite being loved a ton.  It deserves more than just the adoration of anime fans.  It deserves the attention of the intelligencia as well.  Certain scenes are up there with anything from the canon of cinema.

Lol, you remind me that I once quoted the movie it for a school paper :)

Here are my top 3:

1. One Piece (The story keeps getting better and better. If you watch this and you're not reading the manga, you really should)

2. Hajime No Ippo ( Somehow this anime, which should be boring and repetitive,  stayed interesting throughout. The manga on the other hand, is really getting annoying. It feels like it is going nowhere)

3. Code Geass (It has the best elements of the Gundam series and Deathnote put together. The ending is also perfect IMO)

Other anime that I really like but in no particular order:

Naruto, Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam 00, Dragonball, Deathnote, History's Strongest Disciple: Kenichi, Full Metal Panic (mostly for its comedy),

and "Samurai Champloo" as an honorable mention because it had the funniest episode I've ever seen.  The episode titled, Baseball Blues, had me laughing my ass off. I can't remember any other time where I laughed that hard from an anime.

I forgot my other 2 favorite animes:

Shin Chan

And City Hunter...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

No one ever mentioned Paranoia Agent and Serial Experiments Lain??!! What a shame!

Those are one of the best i ever saw (it is not in order of preference):

1.Grave of The Fireflies

2.Saint Seiya

3.Yu-Yu Hakusho

4.Dragon Ball Z

5.Naruto

6.Read or Die (OVAs)

7.Rurounin Kenshin (OVAs)

8.FLCL

9.Paranoia Agent

10.Serial Experiments Lain

11.Neon Genesis Evangelion

I love  animes of comedia.

1. School Rumble

2. Ranma 1/2

3. GTO

4. Golden Boy

But  today I prefer Doramas than Animes...
