Halo 3 gets unwhorty praise in the PS Community? LOL. I know what you meant.

I don't even own SMG, but that probably is my GOTY. I wouldn't call it one of the greatest games of all time (core gameplay doesn't shift too far away from SM 64, but at least I knew how to play before playing), though.
