Cats of course. They're way more cuddly and cute, imo. Cats are really funny & quirky. They can be trained too, my first one did sit, handshake and stay. :3

Hard to say, there's so many different types of dogs. I've had dogs that throw a freaking tantrum every time a living being comes closer than a hundred feet from my house. (Other than me, of course.) And I've had dogs that even greet people that they've never met with open arms. (Figuratively.)

But one thing all the dogs I've owned (5 in total.) have in common, is that they were all always happy to see me, when I came back from work. The one cat, that I've had, though, was more like: "Oh. Great. You're here. Gimme some food now, or I'll scratch the hell outta your pillow."

So yeah, I'd say that generally, dogs are more loyal and hence better pets, in my opinion. But you shouldn't take my word for it, for my experience with cats is limited.

Strangely, everything you used to describe dogs could be applied to my cats... then again I have two bengals.
