A full two player setup could require purchase 7 move controllers.

A full kinect two player setup requires 1.

Wow, one player has 3 hands while the other has 4?

Sorry, no offense but how does a 2-player setup equal 7 controllers? I would figure 4 at the most.

i think hes saying...4 wands, 2 navis, and the camera...

Because kinect is an 150$ system while the move numbers are that of many things combined (including a 30$ controller). If move had sold 1 million starter bundles and we were seeing good software sales that reflected the number of starter bundles sold then yes, the launch would have been succesfull. Righ now move is a non-factor , smple as that. It's a non-factor in software sales and it's a no-factor in ps3 hardware sales .

If kinect does't sell hundred of thousand of games in its first month and doesn't elevate the xbox360 November NPD number to AT LEAST 1 million its launch will have been a failure. I won't lowball my prediction to "save face " , like some people are doing, i've written again and again what i would consider a success for kinect.

It might have sold 1M starter bundles, in fact, it's probably pretty safe to assume that in that 2.5M, at least 1M(if not 1.5M>) is starter bundles, as standalone Move controllers are hard to come by, and the navicon isn't that popular.  In regards to software sales, what are the combined sales for Heavy Rain, Ruse, Tiger Woods, Resident Evil, Sports Champions, Eyepet, Tumble, Echochrome 2, and all the other recently released Move games?

Hundreds of thousands of Kinect games in it's first month should be pretty easy as there's a game packed in with Kinect units in all regions, unlike with Move.

Course we will, and there is nothing wrong with reporting SHIPPED figures, just like they'll be SHIPPED for Kinect and not sold like Microsoft will state. Most Microsoft fans here seem to get this .

if they did they wouldn't attack the OP, because it's comparing (Sony) shipped vs (MS) shipped (MS estimate)

of course the "Sony sold" formulation might seem misleading, but it is factually correct as Sony sold these things to retailers

furthermore some are already using the "but Sony shipped is different" argumentation I never saw a source for

What are the sales of  heavy rain. Tiger woods e.t.c AFTER move's release ? Even they wouldn't really indicate much but still that's what we should be looking at...or are you implying we should consider Heavy rain's and RE overall sales ??

What 2.5 million sold, the numbers are clearly shipped and i doubt they shipped more starter bundles, it's just that SB are not selling as good as the single controller.

When i am talking about kinect's software sales i am EXCLUDING the pack-in game. Hundreds of thousand of games sold without kincet adventures.

This is sony grasping at straws (as usual) which will become even funnier when the first kinect numbers get released and ,of course, the November/December NPD for the xbox360.

Heres an easy way:

If Kinect has the highest selling game(s) then Kinect has sold more.

If Move has the highest selling game(s) then Move has sold more.

Easy.

Keep in mind, The Sony Move requires multiple controllers for multiple players, and Kinect requires only one for all.

Although, as a platform, I am not sure I will be very impressed by the final figures for either add-on.

So by the way Sony counts, Wii might be somewhere around 300 million sales?

What did you smoke? We already know that the 1 million number is the number in stores. Nothing more nothing less. Everything you posted amounts to nothing.

Must really suck to be you. All your hatred against a competing product resulting in denial responses. Look, what I wrote above is the situation in Europe at the moment. I don't care about America because I have no information from there. I also don't care that vgchartz makes patently false assumptions about Move sales. Are you really that afraid that your beloved Kinect won't crush Move?

Hahahaha, Kinect will stomp Move to the ground.

Well, some people bought Move without buying any additional games, and just played games they bought before Move's release that have been patched.

When Sony says sold, they have sold them, TO RETAIL!  You doubt they shipped more starter bundles than standalone Move controllers and navicons? Really?!

Fair enough then, we'll see.  I actually think a few games, Kinectimals in particular, will sell quite well.

How are they grasping at straws, all they've done is announce the number of move untis they've sold, just like MS will do with Kinect?  Unless there are versions of NPD/Charttrack in ALL the countries that Sony ship to, then their shipped/sold figure is the only one they can use.
