These are in fact very bold claims by Ted Price, unless he's now looking at R3 and can see something that we haven't seen that proves this? I made a post a few months ago about R3, claiming that Insomniac needs to push everything so much further to be able to compete with the likes of Killzone 3, inFamous 2 and even Uncharted 2, but now seeing this, I hope this means that they have in fact pushed everything that they were capable of 2 years ago so much further. I cannot deny that their games are good fun and they certainly know how to provide a good multiplayer feature, but they seriously need to push their graphics engine up quite a few notches, just to compete on the same level as the others. The screens from R3 that we've seen recently look good, but we need to see a trailer showcasing what they've been doing for the last 2 years and I sincerely hope it's brilliant. |
