Pokemon is a sales beast! Pokemon Black & White on DS has sold 4,048,222 copies in its 1st 4 weeks....in Japan alone! Its not out worldwide yet! Compare with Halo Reach dat has sold 5,544,391 copies in its 1st 4 weeks worldwide.

The fact is than Pokemon's world > real world

LOL! U know, some one started a thread asking which game world we'd like to live in. Pokemon got mentioned the most.

We are making fun of that but I think there is a very interessing social aspect to it espically in Japan.  Japanese basically have a lot of social pressure to perform well at school and at work and to behave in a good way. For exemple university there is very expensive and the best one are very difficult to have access.  I think Pokemon is  good way to run away for a moment from this kind of reality.

If Halo had Gold/Greeen/Peach versions, they combined would have easily outsold these two titles as well....

Limited, Legendary and normal count?

The pairs of pokemon games really are the same game with some very minor differences. I agree with them being tracked as a single game and it's how all the major trackers track them.

Nope should be same pirce, different enemies to add some veriety and tracked together and BOOM

It's like this, for Pokemon, would many people buy both versions or no? If the difference is so small then people won't do it...I'm just saying, Pokemon sales are amazing..but comparing it to Halo is stupid.

I don't see why it's stupid, they're two of the largest series in the world so sales comparisons say something about the state of gaming.

Pokemon Red and Blue are NOT impressed by this feat.  Lol.  Best selling non-bundled game ever.

That's not what's being done here tho...the OP is stating how amazing pokemon sales to the point that even Halo is no match for it....that's not talking about state of gaming by any means...if it was, then it would be something like

"Even if some people complain the industry is going down, sales for games like Reach, Fifa11, GOW3 are showing quality games sell amazingly. Pokemon is another game that's doing amazingly well. Sales for this game has been crazy gooooooood"

Again not saying Pokemon sales are bad, in fact they are nothing short of amazing. I was just pointing out the unneeded 'comparison' of sales between these games and Halo. That's all...anywho no need to argue about this tho :D it's all good...
