Forums - Nintendo - Is VC returning???

@jarrod your list is very incomplete there were actual much more games than that released in the past year your missing about 2 cool boarders games and FF8. for the most part they have released one game a week and when they havent they released 2 to make up. the reason I know this is because I have been checking every week since they released FF7 over a year ago the same as VC. trust me on this one, PS1 store has released more stuff. i was only bringing up Sony to show comparision since its basiclly the same type of service. and to show how Sony has improved and for whatever reason VC has gone way down I dont bring 360 in cause they dont have an equivalent and I dont have that system and really wouldnt know. as for quality thats subjective sure some of those games are crap but FF8&9 definately make up for it. and the VC selection of late didnt blow me away either

No, FFVIII released in 2009.  Coolboarders 2 and 3 were 2008 and 2009 respectively.  I listed every 2010 PSone Classic release already (just as I listed every 2010 Virtual Console release before that), except the Disney games which all got delisted for some reason.

Also, 360 did sort of have an equivalent in both Xbox Originals and Game Room, but both failed pretty spectacularly thanks to terrible support. :/

When i said year I was talking more like the last 365 days. OCt of last year to this current month, my memory is hazy but I think VC only released like 3 titles from OCT-DEC of last year mario kart 64 pilot wings and dont know

wasnt trying to turn this into a Sony vs. Ninty thread just was wondering what is SOny doing right that Ninty has stopped doing. What reason could it be for support for one of your best features to drop so sharply???

I think Nintendo is holding back several key 64 titles and SNES titles waiting for the next generation. They want to give the next generation classics that the Wii didn't get and to do that they need to limit the amount of VC titles released!

I've been wondering myself if they were going to continue the Virtual Console to their next home console.

I just wait for me to re-release myself on the EMEA VC.

And I hope this was correct, grammatically.

They would be stupid not to, with the low costs of putting games up for download, Nintendo must have made a crap load of money from it

Third parties probably don't make anywhere near as much money, but they make a healthy profit too.

Yeah, it was.
