Forums - Nintendo - Is VC returning???

Im not going lie the VC has been extremely dissapointing in the past year. honestly i havent been impressed by it since ive had Wii. 8-9 bucks for a 16bit era game is a little much especially considering that the comp. prices are more reasonable and there are dozens of emulators out there. But I digress, we were going weeks without nothing on VC but I think this would make it the 3rd week in a row that VC has something on it. So im I counting my chickens b4 they hatch? could we see weekly installments??? and if so what the hell was Ninty doing all this time??? I know there are some games we will never get and Ninty USA is powerless but is it unreasonable to have one game a week between all those platforms??(and lower the damn price, but not holding my breath of that)

You've got 365 Virtual Console titles available in North America:

And you've got 258 WiiWare titles available in North America:

I'm sure you can find something you like.  Might I recommend River City Ransom and/or Legend of the Mystical Ninja?  There just has to be something awesome that you're missing.  Have you tried any of the Art Style or BIT.TRIP games?  Those are all great.

There is always buying an old game system and games off of eBay.

That is one reason that I don't worry so much about VC stuff -- I have my old games.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

The bit.trip games are awesome. Love them.

Bah!

Lower prices for VC games would be nice.  I don't think it will ever happen but they could still make good money and even perhaps spur more sales (which perhaps pass the profit from just keeping them same price) if they dropped the NES games to $3 , SNES / Genesis to $6, Neo Geo / N64 to $8 , etc...

see heres the thing I have emulators quite a few actually, so all those 365 games dont really do nothing for me. I would like to support it but it hard for me to cough up 8 dollars for a game I already have in some form. I had these prior to me getting Wii. I wouldnt mind N64 because I think 10 bucks is reasonable for that but we rarely see those. VC arcade came and went, Snk is crazy if they think im buying those and commodore 64 needs to stop taking up space.

As for WiiWare to be honest im not impressed at all. I see a few good ones but its mostly shovelware. Im not really into art style games. Honestly PSN to me has WiiWare beat, they have really improved their classic lineup and they just have the games that i wanna play (Sonic 4, Rocket Knight, Wipeout HD, Lara Croft, Blade Kitten, Lumines, Tumble, DeathSpank, Ninja Turtles, Mvs.C2) I can go on forever, I just wish Ninty can get back to how they were in the beginning when it comes to VC. Its very strange to see VC getting so whack and the PS1classics pulling themselves from the brink. I would love to know whats happening behind the scenes

I was so hoping this would be a thread on why FF: Mystic Quest is going to revive the VC.  :_:
