Before anyone tries to get cute and say "well actually it's a slap in the face to xbox owners" I will politely tell you that you are wrong. Why?? Because xbox liver is the best, most integrated online COMMUNITY!! And the enormous amount of people playing online prove this beyond the shadow of a doubt.

I'm sorry, I had to do that. OT, I'm not quite sure about a slap to PSN; For Blazblue andDemon's Souls it works absolutely fine, bar DS's crappy co-op system. But that isn't PSN's fault. I'd pay for PSN, maybe not as much, if I had to after playing DS online.

As for the Wii, I'm still waiting to be able to play SSBB online without ridiculous lag.

As for XBL price increase, I just had to renew my subscription and did it for $29.99 because of the deal they have. So I'm good for the next year. I'd imagine that for people newly renewing though that is more like a kick to the face then a slap.

Apology accepted. Some PC's blow, some don't. And a select few hand out tissue to the people with bad PC's.

Lol, I actually have a mac :P though I dual booted with Windows 7 for Civ 5. Works so far.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

This is a NAIVE affirmation... LIVE has a lot of people on the backoffice as moderators, programmers and partners that receive money for nice SLA´s... so, LIVE costs a lot... more that PSN or Wii whatever..

Geez!! An increase in price for a product or service is now a cause for the customer to rejoice. I swear the world gets crazier every year.

What makes you think every single Live subscriber is happy with the increase and will happily continue to subscribe with pure joy?

I am not calling you a fool but a silly person thinks everyone else thinks like he or she does.

How do you know this might not do more good for wii and PS3?

If Live is worth it or not is a personal opinion so I won't go into that.

Bragging about MS can do what they want is silly, as well as the analogy of the dog's balls.

The dog can lick his balls all day and no one gives a shit. Put the price too high and you will see who gives a shit.

If Live is so great and MS can do "ANYTHING" why not price it at $150.00? They won't because they can't do "ANYTHING" they want.

I believe X360 sales would be a lot better if Live was free.
Has anyone ever been asked by a non-gamer your opinion on which console to get and some are put off when you mention Live subscription fees?

I have been (on two seperate occassions)in a store when a customer was returning X360s because they weren't aware of an online fee.
Money coming in from Live obviously covers this and probably more.

What MS has done with Live is very good business so why not milk their customers? Anyone else would.

I actually find it amusing, especially those who cry "but but sony'z iz teh stupid for not doing it to and if dey couldz dey wouldz" lol news flash, Sony did do it, (playstation plus) but in such a way they didn't lowball their consumers

Anyway, you're wrong. Free can be good. Have you ever played Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory for example? Free doesn't guarantee good but so doesn't price. If you pay for something, it doesn't necessarily make it good or even less bad. And then it's another thing whether something expensive is worth its price, even if it's good.

What I dont understand there are people happy to pay $60 a year to unlock the other half of their games to play online? I look at it this way for $120 I can get two brand new games instead of one game and service that is FREE on every other platform but hey thats just me.
