Geez!! An increase in price for a product or service is now a cause for the customer to rejoice. I swear the world gets crazier every year.
What makes you think every single Live subscriber is happy with the increase and will happily continue to subscribe with pure joy?

How do you know this might not do more good for wii and PS3?
If Live is worth it or not is a personal opinion so I won't go into that.
Bragging about MS can do what they want is silly, as well as the analogy of the dog's balls.
The dog can lick his balls all day and no one gives a shit. Put the price too high and you will see who gives a shit.
If Live is so great and MS can do "ANYTHING" why not price it at $150.00? They won't because they can't do "ANYTHING" they want.
I believe X360 sales would be a lot better if Live was free.
Has anyone ever been asked by a non-gamer your opinion on which console to get and some are put off when you mention Live subscription fees?
I have been (on two seperate occassions)in a store when a customer was returning X360s because they weren't aware of an online fee.
Money coming in from Live obviously covers this and probably more.
What MS has done with Live is very good business so why not milk their customers? Anyone else would.
