if its december it just lost a good ammount of holiday effect compared to the original NOV release.

as for ps3 sales I really dont know anymore....

SCEA tells Kotaku that the delay is indeed global adding that they can't elaborate on whether "holiday season" could mean early 2011. When asked for specifics about the cause of the delay they only said that "Polyphony is optimizing ever aspect to provide the best racing experience.

 I don't see GT5 being a system seller in NA. Racing games don't drive sells as much anymore here. So I'd expect a modest bump of hardware sales but nothing much. If released in November though I think it would do better since people do Christmas shopping then.

A German retailer is listing November 26th. As ridiculous as it might sound a Black Friday release might actually help sales. I'm sure people don't need reminding of the crazy bundles Sony had last Black Friday.

Then why wouldn't SCEA elaborate on it?  Don't throw Kotaku under the bus for asking such an important question and reporting the response they got.  This is exactly what we WANT from reporting.
