so many haters in this thread. well i guess if we are not hating on someone or something then we wouldn't be vgchartz users would we?
Anyways I think i read somewhere that kinect can't track those small movements. But i'm not 100% sure.

If you liked Fable 2, your most likely going to like Fable 3, unless the new gameplay elements being talked about are going to drastically change the game. I'll make one once I'm done with it, so it might take a while. |
I liked some aspects of Fable II and I disliked others. I'll probably wait to pick it up next year because I'll be getting Black Ops first and I have to keep my purchases down but since Gears 3 was delayed I can pick up something else in its time slot.
To my understanding, false advertising is flat out decieving and lying to the consumers.
Like for example, If a Kinect ad focuses on Voice Recognition and in the end product, there is no Voice Recognition feature at all, then that's false advertising and the consumer can sue MS.
Or let's say there's a new Book coming out about Werewolves and in an ad, they mention that Vampires will play a big role in the book but when you read it, there's not a single reference to Vampires, then that's false advertising.
I could be wrong people but that's what I'm pretty sure it is.
In this case it's technically not false advertising because of the 'You Be the Controller' and that was the whole point of the ad.

This is corporate America. If they haven't already checked it with the lawyers 3 times they probably won't air it.
Tease.

Now before people start jumping down my throat try reading what I have to say and if so please inform me on how the business works because I will be the first to admit that I am not 100% sure on the rules of advertising, but to me, a consumer who has plenty of info on the Kinect, I know this commercial lies.
Those kids are wiggling their fingers in what looks to be them petting the animal or playing with it in some way. Isn't Kinect incapable of detecting that?
Just want to get some input, because I saw this brought up in the comments section and was wondering what others might know that I might not. Maybe this is partly the reason why they didn't want them shown and sent out the take-down notices?
Thanks. |
It looks like 'skittles' can detect it?
@Fumanchu
It was later revealed that it could no longer track finger movements. This was said back in August I believe.
They showed it working in E3 and then afterwards it was no longer there. Check up on numerous previews.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Oh I see the 'sign language loss' articles due to the downgrade in camera resolution...well SNAFU Microsoft.
