To my understanding, false advertising is flat out decieving and lying to the consumers.

Like for example, If a Kinect ad focuses on Voice Recognition and in the end product, there is no Voice Recognition feature at all, then that's false advertising and the consumer can sue MS.

Or let's say there's a new Book coming out about Werewolves and in an ad, they mention that Vampires will play a big role in the book but when you read it, there's not a single reference to Vampires, then that's false advertising.

I could be wrong people but that's what I'm pretty sure it is.

 

In this case it's technically not false advertising because of the 'You Be the Controller' and that was the whole point of the ad.
