I commend Iwata for not blaming other factors for a slump unlike another company cough*capcom*cough. But if he's admitting this he probably has a plan of some kind.

Just what I was thinking, this could mean Nintendo will release a new next gen system sooner then expected; or if not a way of revitalizing the current Wii in someway.

Well its not "super hot" right now. I'm reluctant to believe it'll be "super hot" again.
It does a good job catering to its fans. But I think the masses will continue to look elsewhere.

Nintendo hasn't announced much about Wii games for next year. I think an even will occur about what's stored.
I don't think is anything too new. but maybe some games like Last Story / Xenoblade stuff. They need to keep supporting the Wii

How do you know that? I mean I love the optimism, but sometimes empty posts like these annoy me.
At least give a few reasons on why YOU believe that Wii will be fine. Remember to put IMO at the end.

Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.
While I do agree that most hope rides on his holiday season. I think the lineup is strong enough. There are very good Wii games coming up for Xmas
