Forums - Gaming - Worst Games of the Current Generation

We spend so much time talking about whether or not something is good ... or if it is good ... I thought I would turn the tables on the topic.

Every system in every generation has its pure "clunkers" -- those games that should have never been made.

So what are people's nominations for the "Clunkers" -- think of it like the "Razzies" for games.

I will put forth the first nomination: Spy Games -- Elevator Mission for the Wii. I bought it because it was $10 new at Best Buy last week. I still can't decide if I have been ripped off or not. Pluses: uses the Wiimote as a light gun. Negatives: Background graphics look two generations ago, limited to no AI on the enemies, no clear objectives, no real point to it all.

So what does everyone else think?

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Resistance, Motorstorm, and Uncharted.

...just kidding. :)

Seriously, I'd have to go with those horrible budget platformers on the Wii. (Ninjabread Man, Anubis II, etc.) Apparently they're SO bad that the controls don't even work most of the time!

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

gt pro series for wii

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!

bet with *no one yet* that the combined first week of Monster Hunter 3 in america and europe will be 600k or more! winner changes looser sig and avatar for two months!

None of those can touch Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Annubis 2.

Lumines Live for Live Arcade. Lumines is fun, but not when the basic game has almost no modes or levels, and you have to pay $3.00 to get 2-3 extra things.

Sonic the Hedgehog (360/PS3 game) Only played the demo, but that was enough--it was terrible. Sonic moved painfully slowly when walking, and when doing his trademark spin dash, the framerate took a giant dive, and the terrible camera never let me see where I was going, resulting in many unnecessary deaths. Also: terrible collision detection.

Are we counting handhelds? If we are, I'm tossing in Yu-Gi-Oh GX: Spirit Caller. Plus: It's theoretically an online-enabled Yu-Gi-Oh game. Minus: It has terrible controls and menus during duels. So terrible that no one even plays online, thus defeating the purpose. I bought the game only a couple days after it came out, even though I hate the GX series, and despite searching for half an hour, I didn't find one single game anywhere in the world.
