Shouldnt be too long now...

But hurry up with this... so I dont need to even consider this second rate glasses wearing idiocy.

My guess is we are still at least 3 years away from a reasonably costing (or at least reasonably performing at a not too outrageous price) model. Fine with me, there's not enough 3d content presently anyway for me that would make me feel I am missing on something if I don't buy a 3d tv with glasses NOW, so I can easily wait until they get glassless 3d into the mainstream without "feeling the urge".

They will be available and for the price of what you currently pay for 'with glasses'... within 3 years I bet.

We will then have a mountain of 3d glasses to recycle and the tech companies will have pulled the wool once more.

Well screw that. Even in 3 years time it's really not worth it IMO...

Maybe 10.

Considering that Toshiba designs and now owns Sony's manufacturing for the Cell, what else would they use?

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Yeah you could be right.  How much actual content is there?  Actually... let me re-phrase that... how much content worth seeing is there?

Bugger all.

Exactly. Now I'm not saying everyone will think the same, but for me, there are only a few movies that are worth it for me to wear glasses in order to see them in 3d - and those few movies are worth watching (imo again) only on a BIG screen anyway, negating any need I could have for a 3d tv. The only other content I can think of is gaming, but I am not going to spend thousands of dollars (or even a single thousand) for what will be for all purposes a gaming device screen...

Shame those glasses free tvs are small, cant do 1080p and cant be used to watch normal tv. Also 3d cant be seen from a certain angle. Now why would you pay a permium price for a 3d blu ray if you cant enjoy full hd 3d? People who spend quite a lot of money on 3DTV do a proper research before buying their set. Its a bit too early for such tech.

Below are a pics taken with 3d glassess on 46"" 3d samsung tv ps3. First shows the depth and the 2nd you can see the sword outside the tv.

:| ... dude.... you can't show us 3D... Our screens aren't 3D. Those pictures aren't in 3D. Is the camera you even took those pictures with 3D???

can a glasses free tv work? i mean yeh i kno that it works on a smaller display like that on the 3ds but come on i dont think it would really work that well on a large screen

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

it works, not well tho you need to be sitting in very specific spots. Modern implementations usually have 3 "sweet spots" next gen TVs will have 5. still not great.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Yikes, nearly 3 grand for a 20 inch screen? Yeah, looks like I'll be waiting a decade or so before picking one of those up.. My two critera for me finally inveting in a 3DTV are: 1. no stupid glasses and 2. I can get one for at least $500. Sadly these things aren't going to come to fruition for quite awhile..

This is what i am thinking:

Toshiba is crazy and will fail for selling 20 inch TVs for around 3000 $. How much would it be for the bigger sizes? god knows, but it doesnt look promesing.
