I think it's pretty stupid that they're treating their community this way, both with the game and with their forums. I'm guessing the community is pretty important for a game like this, so even if that community is an overly sensitive bunch of whiners, it's still fail to make something like this exclusive to a retail version of the game.

You could say that about a lot of things though. This sounds to be a case of multiple examples of poor customer relations that have built up over time. It's being a loyal customer of a product, only to be treated rudely and not have your criticisms listened to. Eventually, the smallest thing will make you snap... that and this is the internet.
Are they going to complain about the lower price as well since they paid more for it a year ago?
I'm not sure what the price will be in the US, but I've seen on the JP page that it will cost 2,980 yen. Should I complain that I bought the Forza 3 LE last year for about 6,500 yen?
I'm actually happy that this came out, as my gf has been wanting Forza 3 for awhile. Now I can just buy her this and if I'm lucky it will let me put the dlc cars (that I didn't buy) onto my 360 as well!
