This is mechanically separated chicken. Chickens are turned into this goop so we can create delicious chicken nuggets and juicy chicken patties. It's obscenely gross and borderline alien but it's not going to stop me from eating nuggets. They're too good.

The process works a little something like this:

There's more: because it's crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Then, because it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color.

Oddly enough, McDonald's and Wendy's don't use these strips anymore, they switched to ground Chicken Breasts. Burger King or your school cafeteria on the other hand.....

Don't worry, I bought a 50 McNugget pack with a 2 Large drinks and 2 large fries last May in a special. Me and my brother tried to eat them and I got through 15 chicken nuggets and that was it. Glad I didn't see this then, anyways I don't care.

That said, I don't eat chicken nuggets or at BK anymore, Popeye's is the way to go for me!
