Free software is hard to come by but heres some ive used in the past.

WeGame (Can be laggy when recording and the video will be laggy as well)

Hypercam 2/3 (Ok but notvery  good quality video that comes out of it)

I would just recomend cracking fraps>

I'd feel dirty cracking software that's already provided free and only somewhat gimped.  I tried xfire but it hates Minecraft, so it looks like Hypercam wins.  Quality is quite noticeably worse but serviceable for basic youtube needs.

comcast is having technical issues in my area.  until such time as these issues are fixed my internet is crap to non existent. they are supposed to call me when its updated…

internet is back now but its only at .38 mb down and .10 up ... i have an open ticket with comcast not like that will do anything
