My first gut reaction on seeing the video is that it's too "god mode" for my tastes.  As far as transportation is concerned, I'm still convinced that standard rails can do quite adequately, once we get a real system set up.  As for the "minecart bots", I guess that's a different discussion.

well it appears some corporate software had issues with my xp on bootcamp, and messed with the root partition, I repaired it once, and had a hell of a time getting back into windows without doing a clean install. after a few boots its destabilized to the point where i can not see the partition form osx, but can form singleusermode, the disk seems to be fine as in no bad sectors but im having trouble in unix (i know a bit of it but not really enough off hand to fix the partition so im doing some reading) it would be quicker for me to wipe the whole thing down and just run form that, all my osx stuff is backed up, and nothing but game saves would be lost on the windows side, but it would take about 12-14 hours to get everything back the way it was, and right now i can not afford to be without a laptop for that long, i can afford to be without windows that long. windows is primarily for games, and for me to dial into some windows only voip software from time to time.

so immediately after i post that, i see whats wrong in singleusermode, fix it so osx can see the windows partition, boot into windows and repair the install…. apparently i should just post on here to get things fixed

Well considering the whole reason I wanted one is so I could see where things are, and that's too low-quality/small to actually locate anything smaller than my giant castle... yeah, I'm going to be looking for the larger edition. =p

just a few notes, please do not spawn adminium/bedrock item number 7. iven seen it spawned in the server logs, we can not destroy it once placed  as of right now.

we also need to watch how frequently we use the TP command, im seeing player moved wrongly pop up in the server logs again, this can in rare instances cause you not to be able to place move or pick up objects till i delete your profile from the server.

Yeah, the bedrock was my brother. I'd temporarily given him op control as a test (can't remember what I was testing) and I forgot to take it back from him, so he did a few things I'd rather he hadn't, including spawning bedrock. He's since had to learn to earn things.

OK, based on that map, my tentative proposal is to have two loops, where one side of one cuts across Spawn Island and the rest is south of it, and the other one is inside of the castle and the pyramid and the Stargate.  Obviously they would be connected. 

I guess the first steps are to do a brief survey of Spawn Island's surface, then tour certain underground facilities to see how big an obstacle they pose, then make an exploratory cut along the planned route under Spawn Island to make sure that space is "available". 

The tunnel is planned to be 3 high and 5 wide, material to be determined but stone would be the easiest since it's going to be preexisting in many places.  It would be nice to have much of the tunnel at seafloor level to give people something to look at but I don't know whether that will work out.  Although it occurs to me that there's no rule that says the whole loop as to be at the same elevation...

[edit:  hooking up the route exits to the destinations is going to be a bitch, but that's true for any subway IMO so right now I'm thinking we'll just cross that bridge when I come to it.  Better suggestions are welcome.]
