Since Uncharted 1 and Uncharted 2 were shooters, I think Uncharted 3 will be a shooter as well.

I'm sure there will be more shooters for 360 in 2011.  Microsoft only announces a few games in the previous year for the following year and then starts announcing more at CES in Las Vegas in January.

Maybe a Perfect Dark sequel next year as Rare has been really quiet and only is shipping Kinect Sports this year?  Maybe we will see Dead Island from Techland which is supposed to be PC/360 exclusive?

I'd say it could be counted in both genre's to be honest. It does have a Tomb Raider like feel to it, but it also has the usual TPS things like cover system mechanics, multiple weapon loadouts and online deathmatches and stuff.

And Dead Island is still coming? Sweet!

I've wanted that to release since I saw the trailer like 3 years ago!!!

You can't classify UC3 as a shooter. I agree with you on RE3. Killzone 3 ... not too much. I think KZ3 is going to hit 3 - 3.5 Million by the end of 2011.

not only more shooters but more on pretty much everything from racing to action adventure to sandbox to RPG next year.

just to stick this out there op.... i think uncharted 2 is gonna get pretty damn close to gears 2 numbers.(just under 5 million lifetime...or more =))...and with both killzone and resistance i think ending up between 3.5-4 million individually im not sure what your trying to say when you compare them to gears, gears isnt going to outsell them by that much......its no halo reach

You're all wrong because I'm right

SOCOM 4 - 1.5 million.

Resistance 3 - 2.5 million if well advertised (kind of a finish the fight thing like Halo 3 got)

Killzone 3 - 3 million assuming its better than Killzone 2

Uncharted 3 - 4-5 million assuming its as good or almost as good as Uncharted 2 and good advertising

Agent (not sure if its a shooter) - 2-3 million probably Red Dead Redemption type sales if its good

 

vs.

 

Gears 3 - Probably 4-5 million. I know what you're saying, the other ones sold 6 million...well Gears 3 will have to compete against (and lose to) Modern Warfare 3 thanks to the delay
