I don't know, people who get a lot of money easily spend and lose a lot of money. I have no idea how she handles her money, I just know it's not hard to spend millions of dollars when you have it (I wish I know that from experience ;_;).

It would surprise me if she blew an incredibly large chunk of it, sees the end othe money coming with the last two movies, and needs more money.

She could either take a risk and hope her name would be enough to find another cash cow like Harry Potter or just make another book in the Harry Potter universe and take virtually no risk.

(and don't get me wrong, I love the Harry Potter books and would gladly read a new one if it came out)

I don't think because she need the money....I rather think that their is a group of people who is putting her under pressure for a new book so they can make a new movie/figurines etc..

I has a sad.

There was a time shortly after the release of the 7th, that J.K.Rowling had stated that she intended to write a new, unrelated series under a false name. That way, her books would have flopped completely, and she would have been exposed as a mediocre kids writer.

Now, she will continue to write HP books, which will sell regardless of quality

Well I wouldn't mind a prequel (I'd really like a story about Lily, James and Sirius) but honestly, as much as I love Harry Potter books (it's the only series I read and own) I feel the story (or at least Harry's) is done. I'd really like her to write something new. She's amazing.
