Forums - Nintendo - Iwata talks about 3DS piracy, specs, price, etc.

I'd wager there're dozens of other excuses for Epic (and for that matter any other western dev) to not to support 3DS.

And yet games like Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Saint's Row, Driver and Ghost Recon are already announced for the 3DS. Generalization is a funny thing...

It was easy to forget about these games, since none of them are particularity interesting nor intriguing at least for my liking. Let's see how situation with western support of 3DS will turn out.

I found the first set of answers regarding console connectivity in that he never said Wii. Specifically, 'console' each time.

Also, the part you highlighted about pushing power for 3rd parties should lay to rest anyone's ideas that Nintendo next home console won't be comparatively powered to that of their opposition.

This is exactly what caught my attention as well.

It appears they plan to have the 3DS directly connect with their next home console.

I'm quite certain of that. They probably have a 2 step plan:

1. Get 3DS into enough hands

2. Have full connectivity between the 3DS and Wii2, thus giving people who own 3DS extra incentive to buy Wii2 (and giving developers who develop for 3DS incentive to develop a Wii 2 version as well...)

So - I play a session of MH 4on my Wii2 but I have to go somewhere. In the meantime, my 3DS has already sinchronized itself with my Wii 2, so I tcan continue playing on the 3DS from where I left off on the Wii 2. Then when I come back home, sinchronization happens again and I can continue playing the game on the Wii 2.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Ubisoft seems like the only western 3rd party really putting anything behind 3DS so far.  I'm sure Disney and WB will have good lineups too though, both seem generally ahead of the curve.  EA's clueless.

I noticed that as well. Not surprised, given that their entire bahavior on the Wii was clueless as well.
