Forums - Nintendo - Iwata talks about 3DS piracy, specs, price, etc.

I found the first set of answers regarding console connectivity in that he never said Wii. Specifically, 'console' each time.

Also, the part you highlighted about pushing power for 3rd parties should lay to rest anyone's ideas that Nintendo next home console won't be comparatively powered to that of their opposition.

Higher prices and lower battery life, both caused by third parties then? I am starting to think that Nintendo is heading in a slightly wrong direction with the 3DS.

yeah me too. If the battery life does not deliver I wont buy it. plus the price is not too hot

And 3D.

You didn't anticipate a lower battery life?

I didn't think about battery life at all, but Nintendo not mentioning an expected range is worrisome.

Nintendo tends not to talk specifics about any of that sort of stuff. Officially, Wii specs are still "speculation." And i imagine 3DS will be much the same way.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Battery life hasn't to be so confidential though.

When they come out with battery life, they'll need to present several ranges according to wi-fi, screen brightness, 3D affects, and mode usage. There's a lot of variables to be considered here. One single estimation for battery life won't cut it.

This is exactly what caught my attention as well.

It appears they plan to have the 3DS directly connect with their next home console.

Sure, but let's hope it's not going to be in PSP range.

Rol be honest, have you ever played with a PSP

I bet the answer is no, because they told you that a PSP would give you leprosy

Wonder how powerful the Wii2 will be and if it'll be using AMD 5000 series graphics

If the 3ds is 250-300the Wii2 may be like 400 although I'm sure Nintendo will have good justification

I played the original model and the battery had to be recharged after a good four hours.

And it gave you leprosy.
