LOL do you think George Lucas cares.

He knows how talented he is and he knows people LOVE star wars since its still such a powerful brand.

He also knows the whining around Episodes 1-3 is blown out of proportion by a bunch of loudmouth haters.

If he wants to make episodes 7 - 9 he will and they will be awesome.

We´ll have to see about that. I know he doesnt care and that if he wants he will make them and a lot of people will watch them, but I still think that would ruin the series. It should be over with the 6 films, that closes the cycle.

I´m sure there are other star wars fans that feel this way. And it is because I love Star Wars so much that I dont want him to make anymore movies. some things just gotta end. And I´m not a hater by any means

Ep1-3 were great SW films that contained the same corny lines and action as well as general SW theme. Oh no a love interest... oh no jar jar making silly comments sorta like the droids.... oh no a more culturally diverse universe than the bland 'white' originals... oh no a more overall diverse and realistic looking addition to the originals ... its just silly.

Just like those who cry foul over the Transformers movies ruining the cartoons. pfft, helloooo its all fake and just a new (and more realistic) viewpoint of the original fictional story, still badass.

The hypocrisy of the Original Trilogy fans is DISGUSTING.

It will make Lucas even richer. An entire army of "Comic book guy" clones will never defeat the mighty Lucas empire.

It´s not that I cant stand change. I can´t stand how terrible some things in the new movies are. I like some things of ep 1 and 3.

edit:  I woundt complaint much if he had put more effort in making them better. they were just ok. they just feel like milking to me

edit 2: again the additions were just milking. they were fine as they were. it´s like if they  re-released jurasic park with more dinosaurs or someting

He has been wanting 3D Star Wars re-releases since 2005.....yes 2005.

So why has he waited so long? why is he gonna do them in 2012....7 YEARS after he expressed interest?

Its because he is a technological perfectionist.

Not matter WHAT anyone says about George Lucas you cannot deny his movies are always technological benchmarks, right from Episode 4 to Episode 1 in its day....all the way to Episode 3 (remember Yoda vs sidious battle with the senate room being torn apart).

His 2D to 3D conversion will be something awesome to see....it won't be a "cheap" conversion.

It will be a fanatstic spectacle of awesomness and Acevil will eat his words!
