Well, the originals were fantastic. The remastered versions had the odd silly bits like Han Solo stepping on Jabba's tail. The prequels were APPALLING. Please George, stop raping our fond memories of what was once a much loved franchise, you have enough money without killing more of childhood memories.

Why is he pulling this shit and not making episodes 7,8 and 9 which he could make in full 3D?

He never had any plans to make films 7, 8, or 9. The Star Wars story arc was always the rise and fall and rise of Anakin Skywalker. He finished that story.

He's said he had vague plans about the sequel trilogy which would deal with philosophy and morals.  But he made script changes in the original and prequel trilogy that made his plans for the sequel trilogy not make any sense. For example Han Solo was supposed to die, leia was not supposed to be lukes sister but rather become a queen and a different character was going to be introduced as his sister.  Luke was to revive the order of the jedi but with some aformentioned philosophical and moral conflicts.

Perhaps that plan was still in "action" when the kissing scene happened in Episode 5 (jkiss between Leia and Luke)

I've heard him say he had vague plans for more movies but never committed to making them and never even had a real story planned for them. Whereas I've also heard him say that the real story is about Anakin Skywalker more times than I can count.

I think I've watched almost every SW documentary ever made and I haven't heard anything past "well, I've briefly considered continuing the trilogy but the real story is 1-6." That hardly makes me think he's ever given it a serious consideration.

OMG. I love star wars but that has got to be the worst man. I´d go with the original trilory any day. the prequels are just milking. and btw I also hate and I mean HATE when lucas re-released the originals with enhanced effects that ruined them for me.

don´t get me started on watching Haiden Christensen at the end of return of the jedi. I nearly vomited
