If the launch price is $300 then I would go with no. Personally that is $150 dollars too over priced for my tastes. I like that it has higher graphics but since I don't really like 3D and all there isn't anything that this handheld is doing that I can't find better anywhere else.

Care to elaborate on a portable system that does better gyroscopic input, better 3D pictures, better 3D movies, better augmented reality, better dual screen gaming, better touch screen gaming and just overall better quality gaming?

If you would learn to read. I said I DO NOT GIVE A RATS BUTT about 3D. So I will not pay for this. and for 300 bucks I could get a much better more powerful system.

that's what a lot of game journalists said until they held the thing in their hands, if i were you, i'd just stay away from it and hoping for a 150 price tag in about 6 years.

4 million systems maybe, but 15 million games? No way, not going to happen, that's almost 4 games per system in one month. Besides i wouldn't be suprised if the 3DS gets hacked and pirated in one month.

If it's shipping, it doesn't have to have that attach rate for buyers.

And you're implying pirating has an almost immediate and substantial sales loss, which is only true in the RIAA's nightmares.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

As already noted, keep in mind that this is shipped...not sold to consumers.  It doens't matter if they buy 1, 4, 10 or 0...so long as those 15 million are bought by retailers.

As for security, apparently it's pretty damn high tech.   THQ was so impressed with it that they agreed with Nintendo when they called it foolproof and so sophisticated that it's hard to describe in laymans terms.
