The only games I will buy on a PC over my 360 are FPS games because MS seems to think that a mouse and keyboard aren't suppose to be used on the 360.  If they got over that I wouldn't bother buying games on my PC anymore.

RROD is a bad argument for disqualifying MS.  Sony did quite well with PS2 and PS1 in the previous generations even if they were heaping piles of garbage.  At least MS will bite the bullet and replace my 360 if it dies.  Sony never replaced the two PS1's and PS2 that all had their lasers die on me.  Sony isn't exactly innocent when it comes to shotty hardware.  Claiming that people will go PC over Xbox due to hardware failures is absurd.  People in general have far more trouble keeping their multi-purpose PC's running than they ever do with consoles.  Between the spyware, viruses and all the other crap that can go wrong with a PC it isn't even close in comparison.  Think of why Dell was so popular, it was great customer service when the problem prone PC's would have problems.  Best Buy has Geek Squad to deal with PC's, not consoles.  PC has far far far more problems for the average person than a console does.  Not to mention a gaming PC that is going to be up to snuff for a few years costs 5 times more than a 360.

While Live costs money, it is an excellent service.  Its only 60 bucks a year, big deal.  If you can afford to dish out $2000 every 2 years to keep your PC up to date so they can handle games like Crysis, then I doubt you're blinking your eyes at the yearly cost of live.

Sony has a good line up for 2008, but they touted a lot of games that were run of the mill for this year, some were just plain bad (Lair, I'm looking at you).  But once you get past their 1st party titles you'll see that nearly all 3rd party titles for PS3 will come out for the 360 as well.  Neither system is doing well enough to not make games for both systems and with the difficulty of programming for the PS3 many games are actually running better on the 360. 

Plus I'm willing to bet Microsoft has something planned in response to Playstation 3's price drops and their improving PSN service. A new exclusive? Price drop for Live or 360? We'll find out..

Personally, I'm predicting free Live the same day Home comes out.

Does anyone else have just a slight gut feeling that MS may secretly be working on a new form of disc that works with a DVD laser but holds more data?  Not a new movie format, but one that they would use exclusively for the 360, like Nintendo is doing with Wii?

Free Live? Maybe... New disc format? Why? HD DVD is good enough. If they wanted the discs to store more data, they would switch to Blu-Ray.

Excellent question. How will the X360 be better than the PS3 in 2008. Xbox 360 will continue to have a larger and more diverse and complete library as it does now. The current Xbox 360 library isnt going away. The "great" games of PS3 still are not comming until later in the year and MGS4 in 2nd quarter next year. Until that time, its library is still inferior. And finally, and largly missed by blind Sony fans is the fact that the Xbox 360 also has system selling games for 2008. Whaaa?? Yep!  I care not to list them all as Im sure you can figure out which ones they are.

That is a main reason i want that x360 would gone.
Lair, HS, Uncharted, Ratchet look amazing, the only problem is that on many games x360 was a leading platform, and you can`t just port game from x360 without some issues.

About inferior, it`s just your opinion, because some people are happier with warhawk, ratchet, uncharted, HS, lair and etc.
But anyway, x360 had ONE year ahead. It`s normal, to have some more to offer. BUT not for long. =)

What I DID do is prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the 360 DOES in fact have fantastic exclusives, both now and on the horizon, AS DOES the PS3.

The only other thing I said was that MS is already in a position where they could drop the price again if they had to, and Sony is not.  Fact.

See?  I didn't insult either console (I am an owner of both btw), and I didn't say that either one was going to be a better deal (where did you even get that from?)

But then, the very title (and grammar) of this thread tells me it was created by a fanboy who writes about what he wants rather than what will happen.

To reiterate: BOTH CONSOLES WILL HAVE FANTASTIC GAMES NEXT YEAR! ALL I DID WAS CALL OUT THE PEOPLE WHO SAID THAT THE 360 WOULD NOT!
