Quantic Dream have their own Mo-cap studio. They're not exactly a huge successful studio.

Also Sony have their own mo-cap studio at their San Diego studio. The second largest in north america apparently.

Quantic Dream's small (ie: staff of seven) mocap unit was formed for HR specifically, so it was likely subsidized by Sony directly and deemed more cost effective than hiring out the work.  The staff there worked at companies like Ubisoft and Square Enix previously, but were mostly entry level hires.  I'm not sure how this compares to Level-5's full production mocap studio, which has been described as "state of the art" and "a luxury that only a handful of Japanese studios can afford".

Also, looking through credits it seems SCEWWS does have an internal mocap studio (PD Services) who also does sound design and music for various games.  They seem to work on everything San Diego does... weird that ND had to outsource their mocap then? :/

QD's site describes their mocap studio as: "A large Vicon Mx F40 motion capture set, coupled with a state of the art 3D scanner and a 5.1 audio recording suite.".

Sony uses the San Diego mo-cap studio for a lot of their sports titles, so perhaps it wasn't available.

Comparing Level 5 to SCEWWS on almost any level is a bit ridiculous.

That or From Software.

Well, then they'd own Tenchu again. :D

Not interested in Tenchu. Lost interest since the third.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Well Sony acquired Zipper Interactive and will be releasing there big title for the PS3 (not the MAG but S4)

they should acquire umm lets say Splash Damage, they make completely awesome games.

SONY's owned SOCOM from the beginning. There was no need to buy Zipper for SOCOM 4. After they bought Zipper, following PSP Socom's and later Confrontation went to a second party studio [Slant 6] and MAG development started. When the acquisition announcement was made, SONY cited Zippers ability to create dedicated online fanbases as the main reason for it. SOCOM already had an excellent base thanks Zipper and if we're to go by what SONY stated it's logical to assume that MAG--as it's a new IP--was "their big title for the PS3".

Sqaure Enix would be great so we have no more stupid multi plat Final Fantasy games. Namco also would be great so we could get some localized tales games. EA too, because they are one of the best devs IMO.

Extroardinarily unrealistic poll is extroardinarily unrealistic

The logical options would be the companies that are practically Sony-owned already. Given that Insomniac is starting to branch out, Sony might want to tie a few of them down, or help more of them out like with Media Molecule.

Nobody's really looking at bullish acquisitions lately, though. EA has taught that lesson, given that they stomached Pandemic right before they went sour.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Agreed, Level-5 has been an unheralded success story and on the rapid rise this generation.  SCE meanwhile, well...

They shouldn't acquire anyone, but they should make publishing contracts, so developers can retain their freedom, even if they're working with Sony.

Oh zing!

You ignore the rest of my comments, and mention SCE rather then the studios.
