What I'd love is for Sony to step in and save the developers at NIS and make some first party Disgaea and other JRPGs.  It wouldn't be the best move for Sony from a business aspect but it would make me so happy. I hate seeing NIS in such harsh times.

Realistically they should probably get That Game Company, Quantic Dream, or Q-Games.

True NIS is a small company so it shouldn't cost sony that much and they desperately need help, they also know the ps3 hardware too since they like to make exlcusives for it.

SONY BUY NIS!!!!

...Do you have any idea how much it would cost to "acquire" Capcom or Konami?

lol, about the EA comment, thats simply too unrealistic imo. personally i could see MS releasing Remedy, and Sony could pick that up, because of the sales of Alan Wake, which imo wouldve sold better on the PS3. and really dissappointing for Remedy who spent 4 years on AW, other than that... i dont really think they need to aquire any more studios. so many developers go multiplat now anyway, and have started leading on the PS3, its unnecessary to aquire any more... however i would like them to outsource first party licenses to studios, i would love to see something like Legend of Dragoon 2 made by Level 5, maybe SE, but remain exclusive at the same time.

They spent 5 years on it.

OT: Suckerpunch! Their studio is small enough, and they have a great relationship with Sony already.

probably the most impact: EA (aside from MS and Nintendo)

most realistic: Qunatic Dream (to prevent future multiplats, David Cage already made  remakrs in that direction.)

Unneeded: Sucker Punch (They only made Sly Cooper series and inFamous series, which are already Sony exclusive.)

Revenge buy: Infinity Ward (for "betraying" Sony and going Multiplatform with EA) Insomniac?

Wasted money: Square-Enix (Even though Sony could lead Sqaure-Enix to new glory, their games aren't million sellers anymore. They would waste more money on the buy than they could recoup in 20 years.)

aquistion with the biggest fanboy impact: Bungie (I would LOVE to see that one :D )

and last: Wildc*rd: Gamefreak plus the Pokémon Company (Pokémon exclusive to Sony? Meltdown of the Universe :D )

And basically they aren't going to acquire anyone except perhaps Quantic Dream, Sucker Punch or a small studio who has been working on PSN games. Though actually, Ready at Dawn might be a nice acquisition and it is certainly not entirely out of the question

Of course I said Insomniac! I would never mistake them with Infinity Ward! :D

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

Disney.

They don't own Remedy ..

Pokemon is owned by Nintendo. MS get first refusal on all future Bungie games. Activision won't get rid of Infinity Ward, MS would buy EA before Sony.

They might have them in a multi game contract like Sony have with studios such as Eat Sleep Play (David Jafee) and Lightbox (who used to be Incognito)
