Forums - Nintendo - 3DS is $299 to much?

$250 with a game seems reasonable. It'll probably be $350 here in Australia though =/.

Does this mean Patcher was right? His been getting more hits than misses as of recently.

Well with the Australian Dollar edging towards $1US in value Id say probably right judging by how Nintendo has treated the Australian market.

I think importing it from the US might actually work out to be cheaper.

I doubt the games are going to be region free though, so you really can't unless you mod the system or just buy exclusively from the US.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

If Nintendo goes with $199 in the US, Japanese gamers will be importing them back to Japan.

At best, I think we'll see a $250 price, which is still not so ideal. I suppose they could sweeten the deal with a pack in game, but it would still be $250.

The only positive outcome I can see of a less than mass adoption friendly price is reduced demand due to the higher price bracketing will make it easier for Nintendo to keep pace with production.

No point in making it too cheap (even if they still post a decent profit on each unit sold) if they are nowhere near keeping up with initial demand. If that were the scenario, the big winners would be the same people who flip new consoles when they're still hard to come by. And I see no reason why Nintendo should help those guys out.

Funny how it's almost always the Americans who whine about pricing where the only ones who seem to get away cheap is them @_@

It shows that whining works.

The same way kids get their way.

A good enough price for myself.

360 Games Now Playing   360 Games unopened:  Resonance of Fate  Last 360 Game I Beat: Resident Evil 5

DS Games Now Playing: Dragon Quest VI  DS Games unopened Knights in the Nightmare, Etrian Odyssey III, Okamiden, Dragon Quest IX Last DS Game I beat: Radiant Historia

Wii Games Now Playing  Super Mario Galaxy 2, Arc Rise Fantasia  Wii  Games unopened  Little King's Story, Sonic Colors, Silent Hill Shattered Memories Last Wii Game I beat: Sin & Punishment 2

DS sales are driven by parents picking up something for kids to waste time with during boring tasks for kids.  I have 3 kids and they get to play DS when they are on long car rides or waiting like at a Dr. office sort of things.  No way I would pickup 3 of those until they are closer to $100.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Nope did u saw that lifestyle trailer ?

And dude with that Love Plus game no price is too high for the japanese.
