it hasnt taken off like some expected because its not as big as it used to be and the wait probably lost fans. Though im sure itll do great but i belive itll be the lowest selling console GT. lawl!!!!

Well i never said it wouldnt be huge im just saying it wont sell like the others. also theres like a three year difference between god of war 2 and god of war 3 I believe while GT4 came out in 2005 and Gt5 is releasing in 2010 which is a 5 year difference. Though i guess since theres a 4 year difference between metak gear 3 and 4 i cant really use that excuse accurately lol im just saying.
Yeah i think it's the lack of advertising, but the op is right though with a lack of Bundles. They always have kick ass bundles in Japan and Europe, but it seems like NA always loses out.
I'M sure it will be a long seller and have legs, usually games that have good publicity and not a gigantic opening week are ensured of good legs.
I'm curious about how GT3 sold significantly better in NA than EMEAA. How heavily was that game bundled?
Why did GT4 see a massive drop? Was that heavily bundled at any point?
The sales of that series is an enigma to me. How inflated are they?
I expect big numbers for GT5, but I'm reluctant to believe they are going to recapture past numbers long term.

It has taken off in Japan pre-orders and we don't have any data for EU.
The only place that its slow on pre-orders in NA which can be caused by the lack of marketing.

gt5 should have a healthy 500k-700k launch in america. so it only needs 200k-350k preorders. if it keeps its current rate(10k a week) it will a preorder total very close to 300k . odds are at late october you will have a few weeks of 20k-40k preorder increase for the game. my money is on a 350k preoder final number, so a week one of 600-700k units in americas and a lifetime sales of over 3million in the americas. which need i remind you is higher than gt4s.
